Project summary

Kaikusha Protected Site is a marsh that remained after the draining of Svishtov-Belene lowlands. There visitors and tourists can see a typical marsh vegetation and many waterfowls. In the autumn of 2011 under GREEN BORDERS Life+ project Persina Nature Park Directorate had started the implementation of activities to restore the water regime of the marsh. There will be build a small visitor infrastructure. This place will be the second restored wetland in Persina Nature Park.
